Dr. Annette Richmond is a veterinarian who graduated from UCDavis and then became a certified veterinary acupuncturist with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She has been incorporating acupuncture, Chinese herbs, natural supplements, healthful diets, and many other natural remedies into her general practice since graduating in 1997. In 2007, Dr. Richmond opened Natural Veterinary Therapy to concentrate on healing animals with natural therapies and more gentle techniques in a calm and nurturing environment.
Dr. Richmond is a certified canine rehabilitation therapist after completing the Canine Physical Rehabilitation Certification program with the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Natural Veterinary Therapy offers therapy for animals with arthritis, those that have had neurologic or orthopedic surgery, hip dysplasia, disc disease, and many more ailments. Dr. RIchmond also specializes in casting for braces and measuring for wheelchairs.
Dr. Richmond practices natural medicine and takes into account all aspects of the animal from diet and exercise to previous medications and vaccines to offer a truly holistic way of diagnosis and treatment.
